Victory through Christ

Every day of our lives is a confirmation of the presence of the Creator. Every Sunday is another opportunity to touch God, to be closer to Him, to hear His voice.

This is the time to worship, to glorify His name, to pray for the church’s growth, for peace in Ukraine and throughout the world.

Victory in Christ

“Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.” (1Cor. 15: 50).

All people living on planet Earth have a conqueror – Jesus Christ. Jesus knew who His enemy is and we also know him, it is Satan. And we have victory in Christ Jesus because He has already defeated the enemy. And if Christ is the conqueror, then we are also winners in Him. The victory of Jesus was the greatest victory ever. The blood that He shed for us and the life that He gave for us is a sign of victory over the enemy. If we believe in Jesus Christ, then we will be winners.

There is a story when Moses and Joshua were serving together, they came to a new place and they heard a noise.

“And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, “There is a noise of war in the camp.” But he said: “It is not the noise of the shout of victory,nor the noise of the cry of defeat, but the sound of singing I hear.” (Exodus 32:17-18).

This case shows us how two people who heard the same noise understood it completely differently. Moses had a spiritual understanding of the noise; he heard a song, which means victory and breakthrough in this situation.

When Jesus felt that the hour is near when people would come for Him and kill Him, he began to pray and asked Heavenly Father:

“He went a little farther, and fell on the ground, and prayed that if it were possible, the hour might pass from Him. And He said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible for You. Take this cup away from Me; nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will. “(Mk.14: 35,36).

The cup that Jesus spoke about is problem, persecution, hardship. He knew that victory will come through His death and resurrection. We already have victory through Christ. God showed this victory in the life of Moses, Solomon, Joseph and He is confirming the same in our lives today.

After the word “it is finished,” spoken by Jesus on the Cross, He gave up His spirit, and there was an earthquake as a sign of our victory. God still speaks to each person differently, you only need to learn to hear.

After the sermon Pastor George prayed and shared a special Word from God:

  1. we use the name of Jesus Christ seldom in different situations;
  2. we consider ourselves super spiritual people;
  3. we do not appreciate what we have.

Homework: think on these points for a week. Ask God for wisdom and understanding to change yourselves.

“… Mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.” (Jude1: 2).
