BLOOD, SWEAT, AND TEARS

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
(Psalm 126:5-6)

Blood, sweat, and tears are the price of any revival.

The life of Jesus Christ itself is an example. Through Him everything began – He Himself is revival, and He brought revival. Yet He did not avoid blood, sweat, and tears.

(1) The first component of revival is blood. We do not need to shed our own blood. The Lord has already done it – Jesus shed His blood. Therefore, the blood is the blood of Christ.

(2) The second component is sweat. Sweat symbolizes labor. Anyone who desires to see revival and become part of it must not be afraid of hard work.

(3) The third component is tears. Every revival is born in tears – in tears of intercession, in prayer, in tears for the people, and also in tears through attacks on God’s ministry.

We all know how Jesus shed His blood. Now let us look at how He labored, how He “sweated,” and how He was filled with tears for the salvation of mankind.

Matthew 26:36–39

36 Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.”
37 And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed.
38 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”
39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.”

Even Jesus experienced such states as sorrow and anguish. He had times of glory, but also difficult times. If even Jesus did not avoid this, then there will be such seasons in His Church as well. Jesus prayed in the garden so intensely that His sweat was like drops of blood.

When a leader goes through trials, disciples cannot always understand or support him. For revival, it is important to go through such seasons as well.

You have probably already understood that I have played my part in Ukraine. Now it is your part, your portion. Every generation must dig its own well. Now the time has come in our church for a new generation. Once, through our church, God brought revival to Ukraine, but this does not mean that the church will always remain at the top or that God will use only it for the greatest works.

To continue bringing revival and accomplishing great works of God, including in Ukraine, much labor is required. And each generation has its own share. Every generation must walk its path and do its work.

“And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?’ which is translated, ‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?’” (Mark 15:34)

Every true Christian goes through such moments. Do not be troubled. There is a time for everything. Better times will come.

Do not be surprised if something happens with people. We are all human.

Jesus endured all of this. Because of this, we have Christianity. Jesus paid the price for revival. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews 12:2).

Jesus paid the price of blood, sweat, and tears. He saw the glory ahead – resurrection and salvation for all. For the sake of this, He endured everything.

We, as disciples of Christ, must look to Him, learn from Him, and, seeing His example. Know: the best is ahead – the main thing is to go through it all.

Everyone who pays the price for revival will be glorified by God the Father. From a human perspective, Jesus seemed to be defeated: He died, was stripped, shamed, and crucified. His disciples left Him. But in reality, He gained victory, was glorified by God Himself, and became our Savior and Lord.

We do not always see as God sees. Therefore, know this: if not on earth, then in heaven, the one who pays the price for revival will be glorified.

Rejoice, for he who sows in tears shall reap in joy!

Be blessed, dear brothers and sisters!

Happy Birthday to our beloved Church – happy 32nd anniversary to us!
